Women kept waking in the night to wee ‘get life back’ with 67p-a-day

As we get older, one frustrating and sometimes embarrassing byproduct of the likes of aging, hormonal changes (like menopause), childbirth and more is bladder weakness, resulting in more toilet trips and potential leaks. Especially when out and about, playing sports and at night.

But one brand is being praised by consumers for its ‘life changing’ supplement that helps users ‘get my life back’ both day and night. It reportedly improves ‘bladder flexibility to help you hold for longer between bathroom visits’, calming ‘brain-bladder signals’ and soothing the bladder lining – this reportedly helps keep users ‘feeling settled throughout the day’.

The brand in question is Jude – allegedly the UK’s #1 Bladder Health Supplement – which is designed with women over 40 in mind and has been ‘expertly formulated’ with a range of natural ingredients for lasting bladder support.

Promising a ‘life less interrupted’, Jude’s CoreCTRL Bladder Health Supplements come with 60 capsules in a pack (two per day) and can be purchased either as a one off purchase for £39.50, or as part of a subscription model. Receiving the product on its Four Week plan (delivery every four weeks) will be £39.50, while its ‘best value’ plan is 12 Weeks, costing £75.

Although the brand – which was featured on Dragon’s Den – is currently offering our readers a 20% discount code, meaning for a one off purchase, it’d be £31.60; the Four Week Plan is £27.60, while the 12 Week Plan is £60 (which works out at 67p per day). All shoppers need to do is enter the code PRESS20 at the checkout. This is valid until July 28.

Powered by nature and backed by science having been developed with leading dietitians, scientists and clinicians, the capsules contain pumpkin seed extract (often called ‘Green Gold’ with 71 seeds in each daily dose) which helps power muscles from within. Alongside this, soy phytoestrogen helps fuel the pelvic floor muscles and supports bladder muscle tone and tissue function.

Meanwhile, rosemary and sage extract supports the bladder wall’s natural elasticity and ‘helps maintain the natural flexibility and resilience of connective tissues, supporting comfortable function throughout the day’.

Its inclusion of zinc, vitamins B6, B3, D and probiotics contributes to muscle function, tissue building and renewal, nervous system support and energy, too. The brand claims that most users will see a difference between three to eight weeks, with 82% of users feeling the maximum benefits after 12 weeks.

If this particular supplement isn’t hitting the mark, the Healthspan Bladder Support Supplements (£23.99 at Boots) have a similar makeup to Jude’s formula and contain 300 mg Go-Less® with pumpkin seed extracts, soy germ and vitamins B6, D3 and zinc.

Similarly Flowee Revolutionary Bladder Supplement at Holland & Barrett (£23.99) is made with Pumpkin Seed Extract at 600mg with Soy Isoflavones, and Cranberry Extract and claims to reduce ‘frequent urges’ and support ‘stronger bladder control’.

Back to Jude and a survey conducted by the brand saw that after 12 weeks, 90% felt more secure while they’re active, while 89% felt more confident throughout the day. As a supplement to aid the body, it is important to note that for any medical concerns, it’s best to consult a healthcare professional.

Jude shares how, reportedly, 1 in 3 UK women leak, and its quest is to break the taboo to encourage more open conversation around this subject. Especially with many women experiencing leaks during sport – whether a seasoned professional, or someone who’s started a new hobby.

Users of Jude’s CoreCTRL capsules have been so complimentary of incorporating this capsules into their routine, with one person sharing how impactful it’s been on their ‘life’ – “I’ve got my life back, running as it should be. No fear of accidents or planning journeys around ‘where is the nearest toilet?”

Someone else shared how it had been a gamechanger when it comes to getting up in the night for toilet trips. They said: “I’m only 2 weeks into using the night bladder supplements but I’ve already noticed a difference with not waking up several times a night to pee. Last night I slept through no waking at all!!! Cannot believe it.”

Another remarked: “I have been using the supplements for approx a year now. Primarily it was because I was getting up 4 to 5 times per night. I’m happy to say that I can now get through the night and just need one trip around 6ish in the morning. This has made a huge difference to my sleep.” Although they did state: “It hasn’t helped me during the day but I suspect I also need to train my bladder urges to help myself along!”

A third noted: “This is quite astonishing so far. Two weeks in I was sleeping through without waking no need to get up in the night once or twice which was an every night thing. So the impact on sleep is amazing. A couple more weeks and day time urgency reduced a lot! Sometimes I was still having triggers e.g. latchkey but another couple of weeks and even that has gone.”

Although not everyone was quite as impressed as one shopper left a three star review that shared how they hadn’t had consistent results. They said: “Not as good as I had expected, on some occasions they seem to help, not always.” Another echoed this and said: “Well nothing’s perfect but these start off great then wane off a bit so unsure if it’s me or not! I wont give up just yet though because they work more than not.”

That said, most people have loved the change these capsules have made to their every day, with one person remarking: “I can’t believe I don’t have to check out where the toilets are all the time. I really do feel like I’ve got my life back! Thank you Jude,” while someone else commented: “Really sceptical as menopause coupled with a persistent cough had left me soggy even after LOTS of pelvic floor exercises.

“I had spent money on various toners and although the kegels had worked for me in the past the cough just seems to have undone all that good work. Anyway the pills are FABULOUS. Two weeks in and I’m noticing that I’ve been much much drier and today I’m experimenting pad free.”
