Good thing he likes to read because Ken Jennings just revealed his connection to a second author. The Jeopardy! host ran into an author while on vacation in London, England, and shocked fans with the connection.
“Rare Patricia Lockwood sighting in London!” he wrote on Instagram on July 12. “I enjoy her books, and I also went to elementary school with her husband! This is the kind of fun value-added trivia I like to provide here.”
Jennings snapped a photo with Lockwood outside what looked like a restaurant. Lockwood is a poet, novelist, and essayist. She also wrote two fiction novels, No One Is Talking About This and Will There Ever Be Another You?, as well as one memoir titled Priestdaddy. Lockwood started out in poetry and continues to write some to this day, with the most recently being released earlier this year.
“This is a mashup I didn’t know I wanted to see,” one Instagram user said.
“Well, I just love this. Signed, a bookstore owner and J! alum,” another commented.
“Dude, who are you? Roommates with Sanderson, what other insane connection is under your sleeve?” a third added
This fan is referring to when Jennings talked about his college roommate Brandon Sanderson. During a fan Q&A in June, Jennings revealed that he went to Brigham Young University and roomed with Sanderson from 1996 to 2000. His most popular book series, Mistborn, as well as The Stormlight Archive, are being turned into TV shows on Apple TV.
But now, the game show host has even more connections to books and the world of authors with this revelation. “The crossover I need to see today,” another fan said
