Netflix is having a solid year, and that looks to continue with its fall 2026 releases. The streamer rang in the new year with the end of Stranger Things, which also proved the end of an era for the platform’s originals overall. It then went on to impress with the strongest Netflix originals of the year, which included series like I Will Find You and Beef Season 2, as well as films like Enola Holmes 3.
And it’s only the halfway point of 2026, with the fall TV season looming. Netflix is set to roll out more exciting titles, from new seasons and sequels to new stories overall. When the weather starts getting colder, subscribers will have plenty of incentive to stay inside and in front of the TV. Here are the most exciting titles coming to Netflix this fall.
Why You Should Trust Me: I’ve been writing about TV for a decade and served as an editor on Screen Rant‘s TV team. I’ve watched a lot of shows over the course of my career, and I’m up to date on new releases. On top of that, Netflix is one of the platforms I use most often.
‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2
Release Date: September 3
Netflix is kicking off its fall season with the release of The Gentlemen Season 2 on September 3, and the action-comedy series promises to reach new levels of intensity in this next chapter. Season 1 leaves Theo James’ Eddie and Kaya Scodelario’s Susie in a position to take their cannabis empire to new heights, and they’ll be doing so in Italy in Season 2. The change of setting is exciting, as is the prospect of exploring their complicated dynamic further. It sounds like another outing that will leave these characters — and the fans alongside them — questioning who to trust as they navigate the criminal underworld.
Watch This If: Netflix subscribers who love crime series with comedy sprinkled in will find it easy to fall into The Gentlemen.
Skip This If: Those looking for something less violent or more grounded in realism would likely be better served elsewhere.
‘LEGO One Piece’
Release Date: September 29
The live-action One Piece won’t return for Season 3 until next year, and the upcoming remake won’t be here until February either. Fans of the franchise can tide themselves over with LEGO One Piece this fall, however, which arrives on Netflix on September 29. The two-part animated special will tackle the events of One Piece Seasons 1 and 2 in LEGO form, and it sounds ridiculous — but also has the potential to be a lot of fun. The main stars from the live-action show are reprising their roles, so fans won’t want to miss out.
Watch This If: Those who love Netflix’s One Piece — and One Piece more generally — should add this to their watchlists.
Skip This If: Those unfamiliar with or uninterested in One Piece probably won’t see the appeal here, nor will those who find LEGO parodies unamusing.
‘Below’
Release Date: October 8
Josh Hartnett’s new thriller series, Below, debuts this October, and its recently released trailer is giving Stephen King meets Jaws. Hartnett plays a fisherman in the new show, which will see him uncovering a threat in the water that’s unlike anything he’s ever seen before. The suspense in the first footage is palpable, and Hartnett looks to give another compelling performance. Creator Jesse McKeown is behind the new thriller, and stars like Station Eleven‘s Mackenzie Davis and Stranger Things‘ Charlie Heaton are in it as well. It’s certain to generate plenty of buzz when it hits Netflix this fall.
Watch This If: Fans of Hartnett’s work, and anyone looking for a gripping thriller, should keep an eye out for Below. It seems like a promising addition to the Halloween season.
Skip This If: Those who are easily spooked and don’t like supernatural stories might want to steer clear.
‘Lupin’ Part 4
Release Date: October 23
After a three-year wait, Lupin Part 4 is set to hit Netflix on October 23. The newest chapter of the French crime series will pick up after Assane Diop’s shocking decision to turn himself in, exploring the fallout of the thief’s imprisonment. It’ll be an interesting way to kick things off, but if anyone can keep things interesting in spite of being behind bars, it’s Omar Sy’s character. There’s still no trailer for Part 4, but hopefully, one will drop as the Netflix show nears its return date.
Watch This If: Fans of crime dramas with charm will appreciate Lupin, as will those who can get behind a morally complex lead.
Skip This If: Those who need non-stop motion might not love Lupin‘s balance of fast-paced crime and deeper character work.
‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’
Release Date: November 25 in IMAX, December 23 on Streaming
The Adventures of Cliff Booth is easily one of the most-anticipated Netflix films of 2026, as it’s a sequel of sorts to the acclaimed Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. With David Fincher directing this time around, and Quentin Tarantino penning the script, it’s bound to be another cinematic triumph. Brad Pitt is also returning as the titular character, catching up with him eight years after the original film. Fans of Pitt, Fincher, or Tarantino won’t need to know much more before sitting down to watch this one. It’s getting an IMAX run before it’s Netflix debut, so there are multiple ways to watch it.
Watch This If: Fans of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or any of the talent involved should make this movie a priority.
Skip This If: Those who feel strongly that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood doesn’t need a follow-up will probably avoid this one, as well those who didn’t love the original 2019 film.
‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’ Season 2
Release Date: TBD
Just because Stranger Things is over doesn’t mean fans of the Netflix series can’t revisit Hawkins — and the fall 2026 TV season will give them the perfect opportunity. Spin-off Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is returning for Season 2 later this year. The new episodes don’t have an official premiere date or trailer just yet, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, they should be here this fall. Many are expecting a drop close to Halloween, which makes sense given the horror elements of the franchise. The animated adventure expands on the Hawkins gang’s story, giving viewers more of the lore and relationships that make Stranger Things tick.
Watch This If: Stranger Things fans desperately looking for more content will appreciate this spin-off, as will those who love a good animated fantasy or horror show.
Skip This If: Subscribers who aren’t Stranger Things fans probably won’t understand or care about this adventure.
‘3 Body Problem’ Season 2
Release Date: TBD
Netflix’s 3 Body Problem brought Liu Cixin’s sci-fi story to the screen back in 2024, and the second season should be arriving later this year (via Screen Rant). The show, which follows a group of scientists facing an extraterrestrial threat, is one of the more promising sci-fi projects of the 2020s. With Seasons 2 and 3 already confirmed, it could eventually rival Apple TV’s strongest sci-fi series. And now that the setup is finished, and the show is heading into the second (and best) book, things can get really interesting.
Watch This If: Sci-fi lovers who enjoy a story that’s sometimes difficult to wrap your head around will find that here.
Skip This If: If you’re a fan of more straightforward storytelling and don’t like following many moving parts, this could be one to sit out.
‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 3
Release Date: TBD
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This, got a lot of attention upon its 2024 debut. The excitement and heated discussions surrounding the show continued through its second season, and it’s returning to dominate Netflix’s fall 2026 offerings as well. Tudum confirmed it’ll be out later this year, and after the revelation that Bell’s Joanne is planning to convert to Judaism for Noah, it’s poised to take their relationship to deeper places than before.
Watch This If: Anyone who enjoys a love story with top-tier banter and realistic obstacles will fly through Nobody Wants This.
Skip This If: Those who would rather their romances lean fully into lighthearted comedy or serious drama may not like this one, as it lands in the middle.
‘The Diplomat’ Season 4
Release Date: TBD
The Diplomat Season 3 concludes with surprises and betrayals, so fans are understandably eager to get their hands on Season 4. Fortunately, the next outing is reportedly on Netflix’s 2026 programming slate (via TV Insider). As the summer 2026 season is nearly finished, that makes it likely The Diplomat Season 4 will debut in the fall. It’s set to raise the stakes once again, making Grace Penn and Hal Wyler’s latest onscreen outing a must-watch. Hopefully, more details about the new episodes will emerge soon.
Watch This If: Those who like twisty political dramas with characters of questionable morals will eat up this series.
Skip This If: Viewers who aren’t big on political intrigue won’t appreciate this, nor will those who like their drama at a slower simmer.
‘Quasimodo, the Soul of Paris’
Release Date: TBD
Quasimodo, the Soul of Paris is set to offer a dark take on Victor Hugo’s 1931 classic, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, sometime this fall. Unfortunately, there’s currently no set release date for the film, but What’s Netflix reported that it will get a fall 2026 debut. The movie, which reimagines Quasimodo’s story in the midst of a cholera epidemic, stars Vincent Cassel and is being directed by Jean-François Richet. It may not be the most high-profile of Netflix’s fall offerings, but it sounds like it’s going to be well worth a watch.
Watch This If: Anyone who enjoys a fresh take on a well-known classic will enjoy this one, especially if they’re fans of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.
Skip This If: If historical dramas aren’t your forte, Quasimodo, the Soul of Paris may not be the right choice.
