‘The Terminal List’ Marks Its Four-Year Anniversary With a New Season This Fall

Hello everyone! The Terminal List is heading back to Prime Video this fall, and now there’s an official premiere date.

The show’s Instagram account marked the series’ four-year anniversary with a simple announcement: a new season arrives on October 21, 2026. The post also pointed viewers to the full existing run on Prime Video, available to stream right now.

The Terminal List first debuted on Prime Video in July 2022. The action thriller stars Chris Pratt as James Reece, a Navy SEAL. Reece returns home from a mission overseas and finds himself caught up in a deadly, wide-reaching conspiracy. The show is based on Jack Carr’s 2018 novel of the same name. Carr is a former Navy SEAL. That real-world background gave the source material a grounded, authentic quality. The series earned mixed reviews from critics but drew strong viewership on Prime Video. It brought James Reece’s story into living rooms across the country and built a loyal audience in the process.

Pratt was best known as Star-Lord from the Marvel Cinematic Universe before this project. The Terminal List was a clear step away from that world – darker and more serious. That shift worked. The show found a real following, and based on the anniversary response, that following is still paying attention.

Four years is a long time in streaming. Shows come and go fast, and keeping a fanbase engaged through a multi-year absence isn’t easy. Bringing a beloved series back after that kind of gap takes confidence on the platform’s part. Prime Video is making that call, and the four-year anniversary felt like the right moment to make the announcement official.

The show’s official Instagram account kept its anniversary message brief: “The Terminal List made its debut on Prime Video four years ago today. Catch up now on Prime Video and watch the new season, October 21.”

The post pulled in more than 50,000 likes. For a show that’s been off the air for years, that kind of response is worth noting. The audience clearly hasn’t moved on.

October 21 gives viewers more than three months to catch up. Prime Video is streaming all existing episodes right now.

No plot details for the new season have been confirmed yet. The premiere date is the only officially released information so far. Carr has written multiple novels set in the Terminal List universe, and the creative team has plenty of material to draw from. Where the new season takes James Reece is still unknown.

For anyone who’s been waiting, October 21 is the date to hold onto. The countdown is on.
