Season 30 of The Voice doesn’t premiere for more than two months, but buzz about Season 31 is already underway. Since filming for next year’s installment already began at the end of June, fans are eager to know who the coaches will be when the show returns in 2027.
While NBC hasn’t even officially confirmed a Season 31, Reddit users who allegedly attended the taping are reporting that Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green will be coaching the next installment. It’s also being reported that Keke Palmer will be stepping in as host instead of Carson Daly, who has held the position since Season 1 in 2011.
Some users are calling the season a “spinoff” and hinting that it could be straying from the usual format, as Season 29 did with its Battle of the Champions theme (Season 29 also only had three coaches).
Of course, none of this information has been confirmed, but since NBC still has NBA broadcasting rights in 2027, it does track that the spring season of The Voice could be shorter again, which would be the reason for having one less coach.
If the rumors are correct, it means Queen Latifah and Green would be returning for their second seasons after making their debuts in Season 30 alongside Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson. Meanwhile, Jonas has never coached on the U.S. version of The Voice, although he was on the Australian version in 2018. Nick Jonas was part of the U.S. version for Seasons 18 and 20.
Filming for The Voice Season 31 continues on July 30, per a ticketing website. There are two different tapings that day for the Battle Rounds. Meanwhile, the Season 30 Battles will film on July 21.
