Netflix’s steamiest and raunchiest series to date made headlines when it first premiered on the streaming giant in July 2025. Its explosive first season rose to number one in the U.S. and accumulated 1.6 billion minutes watched. Now, the Texas-set thriller is returning for another season of twisted lies, drama, and body bags — and John Stamos.
Grab your plate of turkey, awkwardly gather with your family, and tune into The Hunting Wives Season 2, which will return to Netflix on Nov. 26 — yes, Thanksgiving — with new faces and plenty more intrigue. The official log line of Season 2 is esoteric, but so is the entirety of the show, and that’s just what fans want.
Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?
Returning to Season 2 is Brittany Snow as Sophie O’Neil, our (sometimes) fearless and reckless leading lady. Also returning are Malin Akerman as Margo Banks, Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O’Neil, Jaime Ray Newman as Callie Baskin, George Ferrier as Brad Thompson, Karen Rodriguez as Deputy Wanda Salazar, Branton Box as Sheriff Jonny Baskin, and Hunter Emery as Deputy Walter Flynn.
The infamous and salacious women of Maple Brook, Texas are back with a few new faces and cowboy hats. Joining the leading ladies of Maple Brook is John Stamos as Chase Brylan, a country music king who, according to Stamos’ statement to People, is “a lot darker” than the roles he normally takes on. Also joining is Widow’s Bay star Dale Dickey, who plays Zelda Moffitt, the rugged and mean leader of a biker gang from Margo’s hometown of Alba, Texas. Cam Gigandet has been cast as John Moffitt, the nephew of Zelda and her hot-headed consigliere. Kim Matula plays Nadia Kelly, another Maple Brook newcomer who is a Hollywood producer. Nadia is hardworking and ambitious — just what these hunting wives like. Last, but certainly not least, Alex Fitzalan joins as Lincoln Trout, a conservative wunderkind and Jed’s new campaign advisor.
For those who need a bit of a catch-up on Season 1, here’s where the wives left us: Margo killed Abby to keep her secrets from coming to light, though Sophie’s gun is used in the killing, making her the prime suspect. Then, the bloodshed comes; Abby’s mother, Starr, is then killed by Jill, Jill is then shot by Callie, and Pastor Pete dies by suicide after the police uncover his crimes against teenage girls. Sophie discovers the truth about Margo, but before she can expose her, Margo’s brother Kyle attacks Sophie and Sophie runs him over. Fans are left not knowing the fate of Kyle or Sophie. If there are still unanswered questions, the full first season of The Hunting Wives is streaming on Netflix.
