An insider from the entertainment industry said, “There is growing skepticism about where this story actually came from.” They added that every actor associated with the production said they knew nothing about Markle joining the series.
Hence, it remains a wonder how her name became attached to the show. According to the insider, it is seemingly a “PR stunt” created by Markle’s team to generate publicity around her as she returns to Britain. Actor Vinnie Jones also shared his views on the matter. He said, “I think it’s hot air. We’ve got a lot of pretty women in this series, so I’m not sure there’s room for any more.”
