RHOSLC Star Whitney Rose Breaks Silence on ‘Devastating’ Divorce From Justin

Whitney Rose has opened up about her “devastating” divorce from Justin Rose, admitting that ending their nearly 17-year marriage was a difficult decision. Although she filed for divorce, the 40-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star says she is finding happiness and peace while focusing on co-parenting their two children with Justin.

Whitney Rose calls the split sad and difficult but says she and Justin are co-parenting amicably

Speaking to SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy on Thursday, Whitney confirmed that she was the one who filed for divorce. She explained that reaching the decision took considerable time, despite her efforts to save the marriage.

“I’m the one who filed. I made that choice,” she said. “It took me a long time to get here.” Whitney added that she wanted the marriage to work and had “gave it [her] all” and “tried everything.”

Despite the pain of the separation, Whitney said she has found a sense of calm amid the changes. “It’s very sad and hard,” she shared. “But I am glowing because I’m finding happiness and peace. I have peace in my heart through all the chaos. I love Justin. I love my family.”

The former couple are now prioritizing their children, daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13. Whitney said they are handling the separation amicably and working together as parents.

“We are keeping it peaceful, amicable and we’re co-parenting well,” she explained.

Whitney also opened up about how her upbringing influenced her views on divorce. Although she left the Mormon Church 20 years ago, she said her religious background still shaped her thinking about marriage and family.

She also confirmed that the children are doing “amazing” and “are fine because they have two parents who love them.” Whitney said both she and Justin continue to show up for their children.

Whitney filed for divorce in Salt Lake City last Tuesday, shortly before attending the publication’s second annual Virtual Reali-Tea Awards. She also submitted a proposed parenting plan.

In July, the outlet reported that the couple had been “living separate lives,” with a source claiming they were rarely together even when they were in the same place.
