We now have yet another indication that Apple Intelligence is coming to the next Apple TV 4K, with references to Apple’s foundation models surfacing in a tvOS 27.2 beta.
Back in June 2026, tvOS 27 code suggested that the next-generation Apple TV 4K would support Siri AI. Apple’s own software has once again referenced the same upgrade, which is both inevitable and an obvious choice at this point.
On Monday, Apple released the third developer beta of tvOS 27.2. In the update, strings for the Settings app directly mention Apple’s foundation models. “Help improve foundation models and Siri by allowing Apple to collect and use your text and audio interactions with Siri, Dictation, and Translate,” says a description found in tvOS 27.2 beta 3.
As MacRumors points out, Monday’s beta update also features a new Siri Messages UI framework. This would presumably enable Smart Replies to messages received on a linked iPhone. Siri AI might also be able to read messages from a linked device.
It’s also been said the next-generation Apple TV 4K would be offered with a new Siri Remote. Still, it’s unclear whether this accessory will include new features like Ultra Wideband support or Find My integration.
As for what will power Siri AI on the upgraded Apple TV 4K, a September 2026 code leak said that we can expect the A19 or A19 Pro chip. This would give the new model 8GB or 12GB of RAM, up from 6GB on the current 2022 Apple TV 4K.
It is inevitable that Siri AI and Apple’s upgraded Apple Intelligence models are coming to the next-generation Apple TV 4K. Rumors suggest that new set-top box will be revealed during an event on October 13.
