A new RPG released this Tuesday, January 27, is like a delightful mix between The Legend of Zelda games and Valheim, and if you’re a fan of either, it may be worth checking it out. Several new games have already been released this year, many of which flew under players’ radars and are worthwhile. The January 2026 game releases include a few smaller titles like Hytale and StarRupture, which can go unnoticed while players prepare for larger games, such as Code Vein 2 or Arknights: Endfield.
Now, on January 27, a new RPG called Echoes of Elysium is being released, and it may be worthy of your consideration. The new title developed by Loric Games is a co-op survival RPG centered around controlling and maintaining an airship, which becomes your own personal flying fortress. The game’s release on Steam is not exactly definitive since there is still work to be done over time.
Echoes Of Elysium Hits Steam Today
The RPG Is Being Released In Early Access
Echoes of Elysium is being released in early access today, which means the developers are still working on tweaking the title based on player feedback during the period. Even so, its release in early access means that it can be enjoyed and all of its core mechanics can be tested as they progressively get polished. The developers have informed, via the product page for this new game on Steam, that early access should last between 12 and 16 months.
The developers also inform that the game’s price will likely increase after its final version is complete. As such, purchasing it in early access will be cheaper and will grant you access to the definitive version once it is done. Not only will the game get more polished over time, but more content should be added to the survival RPG on Steam during its early access period, leading up to the release of Echoes of Elysium.
It’s A Cross Between Zelda, Valheim, And No Man’s Sky
Fans Of Ark & Sea Of Thieves May Also Find Familiar Territory
Even though Echoes of Elysium has its own DNA, it does feature elements that may resemble those seen in Zelda, Valheim, and No Man’s Sky. Regarding Zelda, the survival RPG may be slightly reminiscent of Tears of the Kingdom, with its fantastical setting and attention to floating islands, through which you’ll traverse using your airship.
As a survival RPG with co-op settings, it may resemble Valheim and No Man’s Sky in the sense that you can work with friends to augment your constructions and improve your in-game lifestyle. Fans of Ark and Sea of Thieves may also find a good time with the new Echoes of Elysium RPG on Steam.
