Porter Airlines has launched a new nonstop route between Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Nassau, The Bahamas (NAS), marking the carrier’s first Caribbean service from Montreal.
The winter seasonal service begins February 5, 2026, and operates up to three times weekly.
The new route complements Porter’s existing Nassau flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Ottawa (YOW), unlocking three Eastern Canadian gateways to The Bahamas. Porter is positioning the service as an additional option for winter leisure demand out of Quebec and Eastern Ontario.
Route and Aircraft
Flights are operated by Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, configured with 132 seats in a two-by-two layout.
The absence of middle seats is consistent with Porter’s fleet strategy and is intended to support a more comfortable economy product on medium-haul routes such as Montreal–Nassau.
The block time is approximately four hours. The schedule features an afternoon departure from Montreal and evening arrival in Nassau, designed to align with same-day hotel check-in and onward connections within The Bahamas.
Onboard Product and Fare Options
Porter will offer both PorterClassic and PorterReserve fares on the route. PorterClassic is the standard economy option, with the ability to add services such as seat selection, checked baggage, and extra legroom.
PorterReserve is the airline’s all-inclusive economy product. It includes more flexible ticket conditions, priority airport services, extra legroom seating at the front of the cabin, and enhanced onboard catering, including fresh meals and premium pre-mixed cocktails.
Many of these elements can also be purchased separately on a PorterClassic fare, allowing customers to tailor the experience based on budget and preferences.
All passengers have access to complimentary fast Wi-Fi, as well as Porter’s usual food and beverage offering, which includes premium Canadian snacks and complimentary beer and wine served in glassware.
Booking, Availability, and VIPorter Redemptions
Flights between Montreal and Nassau are now available for sale on flyporter.com and through travel agents, for both cash and VIPorter points. The route operates on a winter seasonal basis with up to three flights per week.
Porter indicates that one-way redemptions to sun destinations start from as low as 10,000 points, plus taxes and fees.
As of launch, seats on the Montreal–Nassau route are pricing from approximately 13,500 VIPorter points one-way in PorterClassic and from about 37,500 points one-way in PorterReserve on select dates, giving Quebec-based VIPorter members a direct redemption option to The Bahamas without the need to connect through Toronto.
Conclusion
Porter’s new Montreal–Nassau service broadens the airline’s Caribbean offering and strengthens its position at Montréal–Trudeau.
With a consistent onboard product, no middle seats, complimentary Wi-Fi, and VIPorter redemptions already live, the route provides a straightforward new option for Quebec-based customers heading to The Bahamas for the winter 2025–26 season and beyond.
