“The president expected the headlines to be about America’s birthday and his celebration. Instead, it’s Taylor, Taylor, Taylor,” a source noted.
The White House recently posted an ‘America’s Eras Tour’ graphic to promote the events planned by Trump for the country’s 250th Independence Day, while taking a dig at Swift’s record-breaking tour. However, the move has only resulted in netizens criticizing Trump’s administration.
“They know they can’t outshine Taylor,” said another insider. “Every time they react, they make her an even bigger story.” Sources have claimed that Donald Trump even questioned how Taylor Swift was able to secure permissions for extensive security measures and street closures.
A political insider noted, “He’s asking why Taylor gets special treatment. He believes the city rolled out the red carpet for her.”
In addition to his objections regarding the wedding, Trump seemingly contemplated pardoning Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, in hopes of regaining the limelight with a dramatic decision.
