Some celebs are spending their Hamptons summer saving a historical NYC church

Celebs are ‘Chill’ in Hamptons

HOW some stars spend their summer vacation. Marisa Tomei, Matthew Broderick, Frederick Weller, Spencer Garrett and Amy Brenneman reading a screenplay in the Hamptons Aug. 31. To help a theater raise new money to save its old church building.

One night fund-raiser at East Hampton’s Guild Hall reading “The Big Chill.” Film from the ’80s with William Hurt, JoBeth Williams, Kevin Kline, Glenn Close. Kevin Costner’s screen time ended on the cutting room floor. Maybe he can come to Guild Hall and just stand in the wings.

Another big chill? Tickets are $1,000 to $10,000. For that, Marisa Tomei should sit in your lap.

Chopping it up

Early ’90s — when hair was big and shoulder pads were bigger — I wrote about Paul Mormando, a kid who got offered some show called “Power Rangers.” He nixed it. He wanted major film work.

My discovery Paul Mormando is now back. And he’s just been called GOAT. Greatest-Of-All-Time.

I think I thank me.

Bowwow BBQ

MORGAN’S Brooklyn Barbecue on Flatbush Avenue (corner of St. Marks) is throwing a dog night. Tuesdays, 5 to 9 p.m., all month long. Movies featuring pups, like “101 Dalmatians.” Dog lover owner Penny Glazier says to bring yours with you.

Voter roll play seen

We’re saving theaters, dogs, actors — not people. The president declassified intelligence documents stating China and other adversaries hacked info about American voter registration status and illegally accessed millions of “voter files.” US Intelligence knew of the intrusion.

About 278,000 noncitizens were registered to vote, the president says. Names weren’t revealed.

The president declassified documents to back up his allegations. Democrats claim “no problem” and do not want voting reforms. Liberals believe it’s all fabricated. Bill O’Reilly says he knows they covered that up.

THE terrorism scare is almost putting some airlines out of business. To keep everyone safe, besides adding marshals and locked cockpit doors, they’ll stop serving in-flight salads.

Only in America, kids, only in America.
