Diddly Squat Farm Shop is one of the country’s most recognisable farm shops, being Jeremy Clarkson’s farm. The Cotswolds-based farm is located near some beautiful towns, including Chipping Norton, famous for its historic buildings and market square, Burford, and Bourton-on-the-Water. Visitors recommend travelling to the farm in autumn, when it’s less crowded but the weather is still nice. People on TripAdvisor said Diddly Squat is a “lovely farm” with “delicious food”.
However, if you’re looking for a quieter countryside experience, the experts recommend seeking out some lesser-known names. “You might discover somewhere that becomes a favourite destination of your own.”
Some people think that a countryside day out needs to involve a famous stately home, one of the UK’s major national parks, but farm shops, often located near picturesque villages, offer another way to explore rural Britain in autumn.
