“Daredevil: Born Again” fans recently got some disappointing news — and, surprisingly, it’s Wilson Fisk himself who can offer some comfort.
Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays the aforementioned villain better known as Kingpin in “Daredevil: Born Again,” gave viewers some words of reassurance after news broke that the Disney+ series will end with Season 3.
“We so enjoyed bringing @Daredevil Born Again to you all. You stuck with us and I like to think we stuck with you,” D’Onofrio wrote in an X post on Wednesday. “We have the final season, Season 3 heading your way next year with some very cool stuff. Much love to all who have been supportive. I love that character Fisk. Always will. Off to another neck [of] the woods. Meanwhile… Season 3 is coming!”
Daredevil: Born Again is also losing its showrunner
As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week, “Daredevil: Born Again” will conclude with its previously announced third season, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2027. And though filming of Season 3 concluded about two months ago, showrunner Dario Scardapane is reportedly “exiting the show in the middle of post-production” after his expired contract with Marvel Studios was not renewed. Per THR, it is “unclear who will see the show through completion.”
“Daredevil: Born Again” is a revival of Netflix’s “Daredevil” series, with Charlie Cox reprising his role as blind attorney Matt Murdock aka the superhero Daredevil. In addition to Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, returning cast members include Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson (though he was killed off in the series premiere). Krysten Ritter joined the cast in Season 2, reprising her Marvel TV role of Jessica Jones.
