We may be rapidly approaching the sixth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077, but as one of the most memorable games of the past decade, it is no wonder that its universe is far from hiding in the shadows. Not only are fans eagerly anticipating the launch of season two of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, but a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is currently in active development over at CD Projekt RED, promising us a bigger and better continuation set in “Chicago gone wrong.”
However, before all that, the hit dystopian RPG is set to return with a thrilling new release, and we are just a few weeks away from its launch.
Courtesy of Weird Co., Cyberpunk TCG: Welcome to Night City Retail Edition Booster Displays will launch on 6 November, and, as you can probably expect, will kick off a brand-new Cyberpunk 2077-inspired trading card game, which fans of the hit RPG will not want to miss out on.
If you have heard of Cyberpunk TCG, you would be correct, as both the Alpha and Beta releases, as well as organized play sessions, have previously taken fans by storm, but now, its full release is heading to stores, allowing fans from all over the world to start building their decks, collecting stunning art, and making up for that Cyberpunk 2077-filled hole in their heart.
These brand-new booster displays will launch alongside new cards and 31 exclusive alternative artwork. Additionally, there will be Iconic Rares up for grabs, and even if you have bought the previous Alpha and Beta packs, you will be pleased to hear that these Iconic Rares will be brand-new for the full launch. Each Retail Edition Display Box you purchase will include 24 card packs, with each pack including 12 cards.
Although the Cyberpunk TCG: Welcome to Night City Retail Edition Booster Displays will head to retail in November, prerelease will begin as early as 30 October, and to celebrate, Weird Co. is launching prerelease kits. These include six packs, three Legend cards, and even limited-edition dice. Alternatively, full cases come with eight kits, and for every two cases purchased, you will receive a free Retail Edition Booster Display.
Complete with stunning art, rare editions, and the chance to get your hands on hundreds of different designs, Cyberpunk TCG is the perfect way to celebrate the world of Night City, whilst also getting to team up with friends to partake in epic card battles. Who knows? Maybe this brand-new trading card game experience will rival that of The Pokémon Trading Card Game in years to come. For now, however, it is the perfect way to pass the time whilst waiting for the launch of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
As far as we’re currently aware, the big Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is in development, although The Witcher 4 remains the big priority right now. As such, I wouldn’t expect to see the new game, which we know will return to Night City in some capacity, any time soon.
