Former Bellator MMA Welterweight champion, Yaroslav Amosov, headlined CFFC 140 on Friday night (March 14, 2025) inside 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pa., strangling former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter, Curtis Millender, in the first round with an anaconda choke.
In the process, Amosov may have just punched his ticket to UFC.
After about two minutes of striking on the feet, Amosov turned to his trademark elite grappling to take Millender down to the canvas. Once that happened, it was game, set and match — Amosov controlled Millender and eventually submitted him.
Watch the finish below:
After the fight, Yaroslav (28-1) showed off his UFC mouthpiece, likely foreshadowing his next move, as many expect the former Bellator champion to fight inside the world-famous Octagon soon.
It was certainly unusual to see someone of Yaroslav’s caliber fighting in a small regional show like CFFC. However, UFC sometimes likes to see fighters from other major promotions compete in a regional event (as Reiner de Ridder did) prior to inking contracts.
Nevertheless, Amosov is back in the win column after suffering his first career loss to Jason Jackson at Bellator 301 back in Nov. 2023 (watch highlights).
Don’t be surprised to see Amosov booked on a UFC fight card in the very near future.
