Poor Sport? UFC London’s Leon Edwards Wishes Belal Muhammad ‘Would Have Retired’ Because Title ‘Doesn’t Look Right On Him’

Sour Grapes?

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion Leon Edwards returns against surging contender Sean Brady at UFC London this weekend (Sat., March 22, 2025) from inside The O2 Arena in London, England.

“Rocky” has been out of action since losing his title last July at UFC 304, dropping a dominant unanimous decision to Belal Muhammad.

And he’s still pretty salty about it.

Today (Mon., March 17, 2025), Edwards appeared on Ariel Helwani’s show and was asked how he feels when he sees Muhammad with his old title.

“Every time I see him, I think, ‘For f—k’s sake.’ He said to me if he lost, he would’ve retired. I’m like, ah, mate, I wish this guy f—ing retired because he’s annoying,” Edwards said. “It doesn’t look right on him, the belt. It is what it is.”

It’s no secret that Muhammad has trolled Edwards since their fight, taking shots at him whenever he gets the chance, so it’s understandable why “Rocky” is annoyed with “Remember the Name.”

With a win this weekend, Edwards would likely set himself up for another title shot and could face the winner of Muhammad vs. Jack Della Maddalena, which is scheduled for May (maybe not).

He also could be out of luck, as Shavkat Rakhmonov is also waiting for his title shot—especially after JDM leapfrogged him due to an injury.

Safe to say, a lot is on the line at UFC London for “Rocky.”
