Banger alert! Benoit Saint Denis vs. Joel Alvarez added to UFC 315 fight card

A Lightweight firefight has been added to UFC 315.

No. 13-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight, Benoit Saint Denis, will put his ranking on the line against red-hot Spanish standout, Joel Alvarez, at UFC 315 next month (Sat., May 10, 2025) inside Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Saint-Denis (13-3-1) has fallen on tough times, getting brutally finished in his past two appearances against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 (watch highlights) and then again most recently by Renato Moicano in his first-ever UFC main event.

Prior to his two-fight skid, “God of War” went on a five-fight win streak, where he finished Matt Frevola, Thiago Moises and Ismael Bonfim, among others.

The French fighter holds a 100 percent rate with nine submissions and four knockouts.

Like “BSD,” Alvarez (22-3) also boasts a 100 percent finish rate, with 17 submissions and five knockouts, and has looked absolutely stellar in his UFC career (other than getting absolutely destroyed by Arman Tsarukyan back in 2022).

“El Fenomeno” is riding a three-fight win streak with victories over Marc Diakiese, Elves Brener and Drakkar Klose.

This fight will be violent … for along as it lasts.
