‘The Fighting Nerds’ are dominating, but their leader, Caio Borralho, is struggling to secure his next fight.
For the past week, the No. 6-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight has been actively calling out opponents on social media, but none have accepted his challenge.
Borralho unleashed a fiery attack on No. 1-ranked Nassourdine Imavov, accusing him of ducking a fight and a potential title shot, and labeling him a “f—king p—y” in a heated post.
With Imavov uninterested, Borralho turned his attention to No. 5-ranked Robert Whittaker. Today, Borralho claimed that “The Reaper” is also avoiding a showdown.
Now, with his top two targets declining, Borralho has set his sights on No. 9-ranked Anthony Hernandez, fresh off a co-main event victory over Brendan Allen at UFC Seattle on April 12, 2025 and believes the winner should get the next crack at Middleweight gold.
“So Imavov is running. Whitaker is running,” Borralho wrote on social media. “So there’s only one guy on my mind: Anthony Hernandez, what about we fight??? I’m 7 straight wins, you too..so get ready to get finished!”

It’s disappointing that Borralho may not face a higher-ranked opponent after his breakout main-event win over Jared Cannonier (watch highlights) and a seven-fight winning streak in the UFC. Nonetheless, a matchup with “Fluffy” Hernandez promises excitement.
This pursuit also highlights Borralho’s willingness to take on any challenger to stay active in the octagon.
