In the end, Eubank Jr. was able to walk away with a unanimous decision win over “The Destroyer,” as all three judges gave it to the the current IBO middleweight champion 116-112, which was the topic of debate (see the scores here).
What wasn’t up for argument was just how great the fight was, as pros from across the globe chimed in on social media to give the warriors their props for putting one one of the best fights of 2025.

My 3 favorite fights since I started boxing:
1) Taylor Serrano 2
2) Eubank Jr Benn
3) Fury Wilder 3— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) April 26, 2025
Benn — who is the current WBA Continental (Europe) welterweight champion, moved up two weight classes to face Eubank Jr., who is the current IBO Middleweight champion of the world. While he came up short and suffered the first loss of his pro career, he gained the respect of his bitter rival.
Prior to the fight, Eubank Jr. surprised everyone after he arrived with his father, Chris Eubank Sr., to the stadium after the two had a falling out. Once inside the ring, Eubank Sr. shared a moment with Nigel Benn, Connor’s father. The two former rivals also sat ringside to watch their sons do work.
