Mike Malott produced a vicious finish earlier tonight (Sat., May 10, 2025) at UFC 315 LIVE on ESPN+ PPV from inside Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, when the welterweight prospect smoked Charles Radtke with a brutal second-round knockout (punches).
Despite being a solid betting favorite many people thought Malott would have some issues with Radtke. That’s because “Chuck Buffalo” is an aggressive fighter and if he goes unchecked he can wilt his opponent and find his own finish. Malott is at his best when he has a little time to find his rhythm so it was an interesting matchup to close out the “Prelims” action.
The first round was an entertaining back-and-forth, but it already looked like Radtke’s forward movement was beginning to wear on Malott. Luckily for Malott, he was able to find a home for a nasty left hook during an exchange in the center of the cage that quickly sat Radtke down. As Radtke was looking up to figure out what happened Malott jumped on top for a collection of brutal punches. Radtke’s head clanged off the canvas a few times before the referee finally stepped in.

Malott, 33, is now on a two-fight winning streak since his disappointing TKO loss to Neil Magny back in early 2024. That defeat derailed Malott’s hype train, but it appears the wheels are back in motion. Another performance like this and Malott could find himself fighting for a chance at the top 15 once again.
