Staredowns! Merab, O’Malley share white-knuckle faceoff ahead of title rematch | UFC 316

One of the most stacked cards of the year goes down tomorrow night (Sat., June 7, 2025) at UFC 316 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, but first fighters took to the stage on Friday for ceremonial weigh ins (replay HERE) and one last chance for a faceoff.

Leading the way at UFC 316 will be a main event rematch between reigning UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili and former titleholder Sean O’Malley. It will be the first time “Suga” is stepping foot inside of the Octagon since losing the belt to “The Machine” at UFC 306 back in Sept. 2024. As of right now, Dvalishvili is a large betting favorite to hand O’Malley another loss and capture his second-straight UFC title defense.

In co-main event action, women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena will put her title on the line against two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time PFL tournament winner, Kayla Harrison. The two women do not like each other and have talked a lot of trash over the past few months to create more buzz around their anticipated showdown this weekend in Newark.

On Friday, all fighter stepped on stage for final weigh ins and last-second staredowns. Check out some of the key matchups below and let us know who has the edge entering UFC 316 tomorrow night!
