You can’t crown a champion without a championship beer can title.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today revealed the official UFC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Championship belt, designed and constructed for the upcoming “Musumeci vs. Gabriel” grappling event on Weds. (June 25, 2025), inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC BJJ is the new handle for the old UFC Fight Pass Invitational.
The response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive (for a change), thanks to the bold colors and unique design — which features a triangular black belt. It’s certainly a departure from the standard UFC offering, one that was featured prominently in the “BMF” belt introduced back in late 2019.
UFC BJJ 1 will be headlined by five-time IBJJF world champion Mikey Musumeci taking on Rerisson Gabriel for the inaugural UFC BJJ bantamweight title. In addition, Andrew Tackett battles Andy Varela not long after Carlos Henrique collides with Danilo Moreira in the finals of the two tournaments from the UFC BJJ: Road to the Title reality show.
