Below Deck’s Solène Favreau and Dylan Piérre De Villiers — Offscreen Drama Explained

In a recent episode of Below Deck Season 12, we learned that Solène Favreau formerly dated another Below Deck alumnus, Dylan Piérre De Villiers. Recently, we watched as Solène explained their relationship on Bravo. Likewise, Dylan must have been watching this episode as well because after it aired, he went online to shut down her explanations.

Regardless, both parties can agree on one thing. Yes, in recent years, they dated each other. However, their main problem lies within their conflicting breakup narratives. Now, many of us are sitting here speculating about what the actual truth might be in this scenario.

As their war of words continues online, let us first break down what Solène said on Below Deck Season 12 Episode 3. Then, we will detail how Dylan refuted her claims online, followed by what Solène responded with. Ah, young love. What a mess.

Recently, on Below Deck Season 12, Solène confessed that she was still in love with one of her exes. Then, the cameras revealed that this ex was none other than Dylan from Below Deck Season 11. You know, the replacement deckhand who arrived halfway through that season? The hot one, whose random quips made several of the women onboard chuckle?

Regardless, he was there, and Solène is now here. As seen in Season 12, Solène just pumped the brakes a bit on her crush with Kyle Stillie. Kyle knows Dylan, as they worked together on Below Deck Season 11. However, as Solène explained, moving forward with someone new is a big ask, as she is still hurting from her recent breakup with Dylan.

“This bracelet is from my ex-boyfriend, Dylan,” Solène began in an interview, noting, “We were very in love. And I didn’t hide what I felt.”

Dylan and Solène sadly called it quits ahead of her filming on Below Deck Season 12. Thankfully, their split involved nothing sinister, or so Solène claimed. “We broke up because he was in another country, so … distance,” she explained. But, “Even after, I still love him,” Solène confessed.

“Since Dylan, I’ve never been in love again,” Solène further admitted. “I’m young [and] I’m free. I’m not looking for a relationship,” she ended. Solène is also “not sleeping” with Kyle this season, she joked.

The following episode, however, featured an intense hot tub makeout session between Solène and Kyle. So, we will see how her statement holds up as Below Deck Season 12 continues.

Several beats after Solène revealed her past romance and heartbreak with Dylan, the official Below Deck Instagram account for Bravo reposted a hysterical mashup that production inserted during a recent episode of Below Deck Season 12. In this scene, Solène is standing at a sink on the superyacht Saint David. One of her legs is on the ground, supporting her as she eats a snack, and the other is resting inside the sink, getting a proper wash.

The following clip shows Dylan at the same sink during his season on Below Deck, washing ham. We laughed, but Dylan did not. Instead, he popped into the comments to state that his breakup with Solène happened due to her wandering eyes, not distance.

After claiming that he forgave her and felt at peace with their situation, Dylan revealed something that made our eyes open wide. “Did you forget about all the guys you hooked up with on Love Island while we dated?” For those not in the know, Dylan was referencing when Solène starred in Season 2 of Love Island France. Ending his rebuttal, Dylan reminded Solène that she had cheated on him and that she should refrain from speaking any further untruths on Below Deck Season 12.

Solène then started a new comment thread on this post, calling out the hypocrisy of his statement. If he was at peace, then why was he trying to disparage her name, Solène wondered. Next, Solène stressed that she never cheated on Dylan. Finally, Solène implored her ex to remember who he was and to “Stay a good person.”

Messy, party of two.

Below Deck is streaming on Peacock. In the UK and Ireland, Below Deck streams on Hayu.
