Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. live stream results, play-by-play updates

Tonight (Sat., June 28, 2025) at 7 p.m. ET, streaming live on DAZN from inside the sold-out Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., the most famous social media boxer on the planet, Jake Paul, returns to the ring for the first time in nine months to take on the challenge of much-older former Middleweight champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Paul will look to bring his win streak to six, while Chavez Jr. is hoping to regain some lost fame and silence critics in the biggest opportunity he’s had since Canelo Alvarez.

The latter half of JCC’s career has been fraught with upsets, stumbles, indifference and failures. The 39-year old can right that ship tonight and make boxing fans the world over love him again if he’s able to turn back the clock and the “Problem Child.” Paul, meanwhile, is looking to put another feather in his cap by axing a former WBC Middleweight champion.

The undercard has a few intriguing fights, most notably the WBO and WBA Cruiserweight titles that are on the line for Gilberto Ramirez and Yuniel Dorticos. This is a big potential stepping-stone for Ramirez, as he hopes to use a big win here to get himself a big money fight against IBF and The Ring Cruiserweight champ, Jai Opetaia, unified Light Heavyweight champ Dmitry Bivol or the star of tonight’s show, fellow cruiserweight Jake Paul (assuming he wins).

Finally, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion (and former boxing title holder in the WBC, IBA and WBF), Holly Holm, makes her return to boxing after 12 years as she takes on undefeated (10-0) Yolanda Vega.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire “Paul vs. Chavez Jr.”-led card below, starting with the YouTube “Prelims” matches, which begin at 6 p.m. ET, then the remaining main card on DAZN 8 p.m. ET (stream that here).
