Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is second guessing her decision to divorce Edwin Arroyave.
Since filing for divorce from her husband in November, Teddi has been struggling with loneliness. Now she’s wondering if she made a hasty decision.
“I am naturally an introvert, so I enjoy my alone time,” Teddi told Erika Jayne on their Diamonds in the Rough podcast on January 16. “I need to recharge … But there’s moments that I’m feeling now, where I feel really lonely.”

“I don’t know if those loneliness feelings mean that I’ve made a mistake or this is just something I have to get used to,” Teddi continued. “Oh my gosh, I’m so embarrassed I’m getting emotional, but that it is such a confusing part of all of this … It’s a constant ache that I’m trying to, like, fake my way through.”
The accountability coach then wondered if she’s “supposed to power through” or just “give it time.”
Her co-host assured her that what she’s currently going through is a normal part of separation and divorce. “I feel for her because none of this is easy,” Erika said. “You need to cut yourself a break … If you didn’t say you felt lonely, I would be worried.”
Erika herself went through her own nasty breakup from attorney Tom Girardi in 2020. Due to the complicated nature of Tom’s ongoing legal and health issues, her divorce has yet to be finalized.
The mom of three young children explained that her family situation growing up was complicated. “Clearly my dad was a rock star. He met some girl at the Rainbow Room, and it was my mom … They had babies [while] he was married already. Like, everything was a sh*t show.”

“My only goal has ever been, like, I just wanna give my kids stability,” she added. “I don’t know … if it’s loneliness or I feel scared. I also don’t feel like maybe I’m enough. Like, all those things.”
Teddi announced her split with Edwin on Instagram in November after 13 years of marriage.
“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” she wrote. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
Teddi filed for divorce amid rumors that she was having an affair with her horse trainer. She is seeking full custody of her children with Edwin: Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, 4.
Edwin has not publicly commented on their separation.
