“Lady” Mir is back!
Fury Fighting Championship (Fury FC) hosted its Fury Challenger Series 14 today (Sun., July 27, 2025), and Bella Mir, daughter of UFC legend Frank Mir, delivered a commanding first-round submission victory over Stephanie Calderon inside Imagen Venues in Houston, Texas.
It was largely one-way traffic as Mir showcased her improved striking. Once she shifted gears, the college wrestler took her opponent down and dominated Calderon, locking in a nasty hammerlock—or “chicken wing,” as she called it.

Undefeated at 4-0, Mir returned to MMA after a three-year hiatus, having dedicated herself to college wrestling at the University of Iowa before transferring to North Central College. In 2024, she claimed second place at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, cementing her grappling credentials.
At 22, Mir has big ambitions. While she’s set on reaching the UFC, she’s pacing her journey, balancing MMA with a bold dream: to become the first fighter to compete in both the UFC and the Olympics simultaneously.
She is expected to fight again in 2026, stating in her post-fight interview, “Maybe next year, we’ll go back at it again. This was fun. I can’t wait.”
