Release candidate of macOS 13.5 Ventura is out now

The newest macOS Ventura beta is now available

Apple has moved on to the release candidate version of macOS Ventura 13.5, which it has handed out to participants of its developer beta program.

The release candidate bears the build number 22G74, replacing the previous beta, build 20G5070a. The fifth developer beta, which precedes the release candidate, arrived on July 10.

So far, the betas seems to be less about features and more about stability and performance. Given Apple is actively beta-testing macOS Sonoma, this makes sense.

AppleInsider and Apple strongly suggest users don’t install beta operating systems or other beta software on “mission-critical” or primary devices, as there is the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should instead use secondary or non-essential hardware and ensure they have sufficient backups of their critical data at all times.
