Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is in for more trouble than he realizes, if the latest mid-season trailer for Daredevil: Born Again is to be believed, at least. The new clip teases not one, but two, of The Man Without Fear’s most iconic villains, set to show up in the next few episodes of the Disney+ revived series. And while one still has a ways to go from being revealed and unmasked and fully messing up ol’ Matty’s life, another is returning seemingly from the dead. For fans of Hell’s Kitchen’s favorite vigilante lawyer-turned-superhero, it’s an exciting sign of what’s yet to come. And no, we’re not just talking about the return of Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher.
Needless to say, if you aren’t caught up with the current episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, turn away now because major spoilers lie ahead!
The second the clip hit the internet, fans were hyped to see the return of Bullseye, looking all bloodied up and far worse for wear — likely due to the fact that Daredevil pushed him off a roof, seemingly to his death. And while we’ve known for over a year that actor Wilson Bethel’s Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, aka Bullseye, would return for Born Again after he confirmed as much in an interview, most fans were shocked when the villain murdered Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Matt’s best friend. To see him now, so worse for wear thanks to Daredevil’s line-crossing hands? Bloodied, battered, and holding his own tooth in his mouth, looking ready to shoot it at whoever crosses him next? Chilling stuff, my friends.
