The Summer House finale ended with some major drama between Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula. And that was Amanda telling Kyle that they “need some time apart.” The entirety of Season 10 led up to this moment. So, what was it that made Amanda finally decide to take a break from Kyle?
Amanda Batula said Kyle Cooke’s behavior “scared” her
It was a rough summer for Amanda and Kyle. Amanda wanted things to change in their relationship, such as his drinking or him focusing on her instead of his DJ career. And Kyle seemed to have a hard time expressing himself to Amanda.
But things took a turn when Kyle told Amanda “F*ck you” one too many times. This led to a brawl between Kyle and Carl Radke, and Ciara Miller suggested to Amanda to briefly separate from Kyle. During the finale, Amanda decided to make that happen.
After everyone left the house, Kyle brought up Ciara’s separation chat which had set him off. Amanda said, “She brought it up to me too, and I had no intentions … I was like, ‘Yeah, maybe if it gets to that point one day.’” Which was not how that conversation went down.
She added, “The way that you just looked at me and said, “F*ck you.” And then almost fought Carl; like, that’s the sh*t that scares me … Is this what forever is going to look like for us?”
That’s when Amanda broke the news to Kyle. She said, “We’ve been through so much together … And I feel like leaving here this weekend, like I wanna close that chapter and like start over. Whatever that looks like for us.”
However, Kyle was shook. He responded, “I just don’t know what to do. I’m scared.” Amanda replied, “Me too. And that’s why something has to be different. And I just feel like we just need some time apart right now.”
