Steve McBee Sr. is reportedly coming home earlier than expected from his prison sentence. According to US Weekly, the McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys stars are set for McBee Sr.’s release.
Steven McBee Jr. said, “Thankfully, we’re down to less than two months now before he gets out. He will be able to get into a program that allows him to cut down on the time served. He’ll be under home confinement for four to six months, but he gets out early.”
Steve’s eldest son, while providing a legal update, said that his father will be placed in home confinement after he is released from FPC Yankton in Yankton, South Dakota. McBee Sr. will not be serving the full sentence for his crop insurance fraud.
McBee Sr. pleaded guilty to crop insurance fraud in South Dakota in November 2024. He was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by two years of supervised release and a restitution fee of $4,022,124.
He reportedly submitted fraudulent documents of his corn and soybean crop totals, through which he received approximately $3 million in federal crop insurance subsidies.
More than one year after his father’s sentence, McBee Jr. shared that he would be released earlier through a program that reduces time served. Steve McBee Sr. and his sons, Steven, Jesse, Cole, and Brayden McBee, became famous when the Bravo series highlighting their life at their farm aired on Bravo TV.
McBee Jr. talked about missing his father; he said, “It’s not the same without [my dad] there, without a doubt. His laugh, his jokes, his uplifting, positive attitude — we’ve been missing it.”
When talking about his father’s release, he said, “As far as my dad’s role, whenever he gets out, we laugh around the family.” With Steve’s release coming closer, his family is looking forward to having him back home.
