If there’s a Visa card in your wallet, Visa Destinations is the rare perks program you can start using today without applying for anything new.
Visa launched the platform globally on June 25, 2026, describing it as a shift from payments provider to travel companion. Barely a month in, it already includes airport fast tracks, unlimited eSIM data, and skip-the-line museum access.
I spent some time digging through the portal this week, and a few of the offers are worth knowing about before your next trip.
How Visa Destinations Works
Visa Destinations is a perks portal at destinations.visa.com, where you verify your Visa card once and then browse offers by destination or by category, spanning culture, dining, shopping, travel, and wellness.
Visa counts 10 launch locations, which the portal organizes into nine destination pages.
- Cities: Paris, London, Dubai, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, and Mexico City
- Countries: Italy (covering Milan and Rome) and Thailand
Visa Canada features the portal on its official list of Visa Infinite benefits. Some individual offers reach beyond the Infinite tiers, though, so it’s worth checking even with an entry-level Visa card.
Up to Seven Days of Unlimited eSIM Data
The offer with the widest appeal for Canadians is free mobile data, and the United States is on the list of covered destinations.
Since April 1, 2026, Visa cardholders travelling to select Visa Destinations countries can claim a complimentary unlimited GigSky eSIM plan. The covered destinations are the United States, France, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, and Mexico.
- Visa Infinite cards: seven days of unlimited data, plus 30% off additional GigSky plans
- Other eligible Visa cards: three days of unlimited data, plus 20% off additional plans
For a cross-border shopping weekend or a week in Florida, that’s your roaming bill handled by a card you already carry. These unlimited plans are also new, since no Visa tier offered anything beyond capped data plans before this year.
They stack on top of the standing GigSky benefit as well. Visa Infinite cards keep their usual 1 GB plan, while Visa Infinite + cards keep the larger 10 GB plan.
Each offer can be redeemed once every 365 days, and unlimited comes with a fair usage policy. You get up to 3.5 GB at full speed per day, after which speeds are reduced until the 24-hour window resets. Once you activate a plan, the clock runs continuously, and any unused days expire.
A Complimentary Fast-Track Arrival in Bangkok
The flashiest perk in the portal is a complimentary fast-track arrival service at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, provided by Primex.
A dedicated escort greets you at the arrival gate with a personalized signboard, guides you through fast-track immigration, helps with your luggage, and accompanies you to the arrival hall to meet your waiting car. Immigration queues at Suvarnabhumi can stretch past an hour at peak times, so this is a real upgrade for anyone connecting onward or landing late at night.
The conditions are specific, so read them before you count on it.
- Eligibility: Visa Infinite, Visa Infinite Privilege, and Visa Infinite Business cardholders, with Thailand-issued cards excluded
- One-time use: each eligible cardholder can redeem once, though supplementary cardholders can redeem independently
- Advance booking: reservations must be made at least three days before the service date
- Limited availability: spots are first-come, first-served and refresh monthly
- Validity: the offer runs through December 31, 2026, and the service covers up to two hours
The name on the booking must match the name on your Visa card, and a no-show where you can’t be contacted counts as a used redemption. Accompanying guests aren’t covered, though the portal offers them a separate discounted rate.
Skip the Lines at the Louvre
Paris brings the offer I’d expect the most Canadians to actually use. Eligible cardholders can unlock Fast Lane access at the Musée du Louvre for themselves and up to three guests, entering through the dedicated lanes at the Passage Richelieu entrance.
Admission isn’t included. You’ll still purchase regular tickets in advance through the Louvre’s ticketing site using your eligible Visa card, then present them at the Fast Lane checkpoint, where proof of ID may be requested.
The eligibility list mirrors the Bangkok offer, covering Visa Infinite, Visa Infinite Privilege, and Visa Infinite Business cardholders. It’s one-time use per cardholder and subject to availability, but with four people covered per redemption, a family trip to Paris gets through the courtyard queue in one shot.
What Else Is in the Portal?
Beyond the headline perks, each destination page carries a rotating set of offers on dining, entertainment, shopping, and experiences.
Paris runs especially deep. The portal lists Michelin-starred tasting menus at restaurants like Le Taillevent and L’Astrance, early access to select Disneyland Paris shows, a private Seine cruise with champagne, and discounts at Printemps Haussmann.
In London, offers range from up to 15% off the London Eye to 30 extra minutes in the baths at AIRE Ancient Baths. New York City lists priority access to Top of the Rock, while the Thailand page focuses on luxury resorts and celebrated local cuisine.
The exact lineup varies by card and rotates over time, so the My Offers section of the portal is worth a scan whenever a covered destination lands on your itinerary.
Which Canadian Cards Get In?
The platform is open to all Visa cardholders, with enhanced benefits reserved for premium tiers. For Canadians, that puts the strongest offers on Visa Infinite, Visa Infinite +, and Visa Infinite Privilege cards.
Individual offers set their own eligibility, though. The unlimited data plans extend to other eligible Visa cards at a reduced level, while the Bangkok and Louvre fast lanes skew premium.
One wrinkle is that the fast lane offer terms don’t name the newer Visa Infinite + tier. If you hold the Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite +* Card, the Scotia Momentum® Visa Infinite +* Card, or the Wealthsimple Visa Infinite+* Credit Card, verify your card on the portal and check which offers appear before counting on them.
Holders of Visa Infinite Privilege cards already enjoy priority benefits at select Canadian airports, so the Bangkok fast track slots in nicely alongside those departure perks.
Conclusion
I haven’t put these perks to the test yet, but the data plans and the fast lanes are all on my list, and I’ll report back on how smoothly they deliver.
If I were flying to the United States or any covered destination this year, I’d verify my card on the portal today and claim the data plan before departure. If Bangkok or Paris is on your calendar, set a reminder to unlock the fast lane offers well ahead of your dates.
Visa has added a new card tier, this perks portal, and its first unlimited data plans all within the past year and a half. The network is clearly competing on benefits now, and I’d expect the destination list to grow before it shrinks.
