Hailed as a modern-day masterpiece, Red Dead Redemption 2 has rightfully earned its crown. First released back in 2018 by Rockstar Games and serving as the third installment in the Red Dead franchise, this latest entry acted as a prequel to the events of 2010’s Red Dead Redemption.
Now, eight years after its launch, Red Dead Redemption 2‘s popularity continues to lurk in the background, especially with many considering it to be Rockstar’s magnum opus. Well, at least until the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI this November.
Praised for its narrative, characterization, open-world setting, historical influences, and attention to detail, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece when it comes to open-world RPGs, making it no surprise that fans are still calling out for yet another installment to this day.
However, with Rockstar currently hard at work putting the finishing touches to GTA VI, it is no wonder that its Red Dead franchise has taken a backseat, but following November’s launch, who is to say what the future holds?

More precisely, those who own a PlayStation Plus Extra membership will be able to access the hit game, which would usually cost an eye-watering £60.
