The UK’s cheapest theme park for a family day out has been revealed. Data specialists at Play Casino compared official online booking totals for Saturday, October 24, including compulsory booking fees where listed.
The result is a verified sample of 10 of the UK’s cheapest comparable ride-based parks, rather than a complete ranking of every attraction in the country. The family basket used two adults and two children, with ride-inclusive admission. Child height and age rules varied between operators.
Topping the list is Wicksteed Park in Kettering, at a total of £52.00. This used two £10 adult Halloween wristbands and two £16 child wristbands. Entry was free, while parking was separate.
Wicksteed is one of the UK’s oldest urban parks with rides, founded in 1921. It has over 25 rides, 281 acres of parkland, playgrounds, and walking trails. The park also hosts live entertainment and workshops.
A data specialist at Play Casino said the most useful comparison is the final family basket rather than an advertised adult ticket.
They said: “A low headline price can look very different once every member of the family needs a ticket, so I’d compare the exact date and the child rules before treating one park as the bargain.
“That matters here because the cheapest totals are close together, while a parking charge or optional Halloween add-on can change what a family actually spends.”
The figures were captured from official booking systems on September 22 for the October 24 visit date.
Parking, food, travel and optional Halloween extras were excluded, and the ranking should be treated as a date-specific snapshot because online prices and availability can change.
