On Wednesday, Claude Duet was launched — a new AI agent from Anthropic designed to compete with Meta’s Muse and OpenAI’s Dots.
Claude Duet is based on the Claude Opus 5.5 AI model and is primarily aimed at small business owners and other professionals who want help with everything from planning and meetings to building web apps. To perform these tasks, Claude Duet is equipped with a virtual machine featuring a built-in web browser, reports The Verge.
Last month Anthropic took aim at Microsoft by introducing Claude Docs and Slides, editing tools built into the Claude interface and intended to compete with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
