A hyped Conor McGregor brought a world of energy to last night’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) Champions Summit, leading some fans to question whether he was Bucked Up on more than his own energy drink.
McGregor was on hand at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in Miami, Florida to announce a $25 million dollar BKFC tournament starting in March 2026 (watch it here). That’s something BKFC president David Feldman has been talking about since 2024, and it looks like the whole thing is finally coming together — with some remaining questions on how that $25 million is being spread amongst the 32 men competing in the five rounds that make up the year-long endeavor.
But the big conversation most folks on X (formerly Twitter) had following the event was regarding McGregor’s over the top behavior.
“The Notorious” is a showman and he participates in these events to draw attention to BKFC. He does his job well … perhaps a little too well this time. He was so over the top during several moments that some were convinced he must be using cocaine, a drug the former UFC fighter has admitted to using in court testimony.
“Yea, he’s coked again,” one X user wrote. Another declared “Coked off his head, but there isn’t anyone quite like Conor McGregor, nor will there ever be again.”
In addition to several sermon-like promos, the Irish sports star also pulled apart a brawl which kicked off between “Platinum” Mike Perry and BKFC middleweight champion David Mundell. His reaction after the fighters were separated is guaranteed to become a meme for years to come.
Of course, the internet loves to accuse people of doing drugs the second they touch their nose on camera. And McGregor was clearly being his most bombastic self specifically to generate headlines. Was he really ‘snowed’ as more than one X user suggested or just cutting the wildest promo anyone has ever cut outside of the WWE?
