Netflix’s Popular Fantasy Adaptation Gets Into Some “Big Trouble” in Major Season 2 Update

The complete episode count and titles for Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 have surfaced online. Ahead of its 2026 release on the streamer, a new report has been able to uncover what the next batch of episodes has in store for fans. Not only will One Piece continue to homage some classic film titles, but it will also cover a good chunk of the storylines from Eiichiro Oda’s manga.

Per What’s on Netflix, One Piece Season 2 will have eight episodes in total, which is the same amount as the first season. If the information is indeed accurate, this disproves previous reporting that the series would return with seven episodes. Additionally, the latest report reveals that most of the tiles for each chapter will pay homage to a famous film. From Risky Business to Big Trouble in Little China, it certainly seems that the crew behind One Piece is quite fond of cinema. Here are the episode titles, in order:

  1. The Beginning of the End
  2. Good Whale Hunting
  3. Whiskey Business
  4. Big Trouble in Little Garden
  5. Wax on, Wax Off
  6. Nami Deerest
  7. Reindeer Shames
  8. Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom

As the episode titles suggest, audiences will indeed be visiting several key locations once the Straw Hats enter the Grand Line. “The Beginning of the End” refers to Loguetown, where Gold Roger was executed after declaring the existence of the titular treasure. Laboon, a giant whale with scars on its head, will be the central focus of “Good Whale Hunting,” taking place near Reverse Mountain. “Whiskey Business” covers the Whisky Peak arc. “Big Trouble in Little Garden” and “Wax on, Wax Off” will take place on Little Garden, the island home to a pair of warring giants stuck in a century-long battle. Meanwhile, “Nami Deerest,” “Reindeer Shames,” and “Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom” will likely detail the crew’s travel to the icy kingdom of Drum Island, as well as Tony Tony Chopper’s backstory.
