Alongside Harry Potter, one of the biggest book series of all time remains to be One Piece, the best-selling manga from Eiichiro Oda. The long-running anime adaptation is still going strong to this day, with over 1,100 episodes and counting. However, One Piece is about to break a nearly three-decade trend with a brand-new theatrical release that is set to compete against the likes of Demon Slayer and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
The One Piece Film: God Valley has been officially announced with a 2027 release window confirmed. The anime film is set to cover the events of the God Valley incident as part of a major flashback sequence during the Elbaf arc, currently being adapted in the animated television series. This will be the first time in 26 years that a feature-length One Piece project will be considered completely canon to the original anime and manga. Watch the teaser announcement below:
