A luxury yacht company that has been in operation since 2008 has fallen into administration, according to the London Gazette. Sunseeker Poole Limited, which specialises in luxury motor yachts, is understood to have appointed administrators on September 7.
The business, located on West Quay Road, Poole, has appointed Robert Ferne of BTG Begbies Traynor to oversee the company. Sunseeker Poole is involved in the sale of brand-new and second-hand yachts, as well as organising luxury holiday charters. There is no update on how the news will affect jobs at this stage.
In 1993, David and Christopher set up an independent organisation for the sale of Sunseeker Boats. Sunseeker London has now grown to be the head office for the Sunseeker London Group, operating in 40 offices across Europe and Northern Africa.
However, according to Companies House, the Sunseeker Poole branch was first incorporated in October 2008, meaning it has been open for almost 18 years. Sunseeker Poole is said to be the flagship dealership for new and pre-owned Sunseeker boats and luxury motor yachts in the area.
Sunseeker boats are famous for combining high speeds alongside custom-crafted interiors. Sunseeker Poole is based in the home of this iconic brand and claim to provide a “first-class global service” to all of its clients.

As well as selling brand new boats, Sunseeker also manages a global network for secondary yacht sales. However, these still come at a premium, with models selling for well over £5.5million to £6million.
